Downgauging - less is more

  • Testing of the existing pack to establish areas of improvement.
  • Develop new pack geometry to enable a reduction in the film gauge.
  • Reduce the new plastic packaging tax burden.
  • Improve the appearance and pack performance.

Foam monoPET with density >1

PS and EPS are considered problematic categories of plastic packaging. AMB are:

  • PET white light barrier applications
  • Designed for recycling (density >1 g/cm3, mineral filler <4%)
  • Lighter than PET and comparable to PS
  • With R-PET recycled content
  • Cuts more easily than traditional PET sheet

Foam easy break monoPET

  • PET white light barrier applications (dairy)
  • Designed for recycling (density >1 g/cm3, mineral filler <4%)
  • Lighter than PET and comparable to PS
  • With R-PET recycled content
  • Excellent cutting for form, fill and seal applications
  • Multipack breakaway features are more consistently formed so packs stay together until the customer chooses to separate individual units
  • After thermoforming the material snaps

Clear monoAPET

  • Ready to Recycle
  • Same properties as multi-layer materials, but is a mono APET
  • Greater transparency
  • Facilitating recycling because of single material (no polyolefins)
  • Offers benefits as it can be easily sorted and recycled where the right infrastructure is in place

High barrier packaging DESIGNED for RECYCLING

  • Designed in compliance with the EU Recycling Guideline (PETCORE – CITEO – RECOUP – CEFLEX)
  • Ecodesign – monoPET on the bottom combined with a floatable lidding film or a monoPET on the top
  • Food shelf life is guaranteed
  • Packaging O2 residual stable near zero and OTR < 0,5 cc/pkg/day
  • Already tested for different foodstuffs applications such as fresh pasta, pizza, sliced ham and mortadella

r-PET

Reducing carbon footprint using 70.000 metric tons/year of PET recycled raw material in substitution of virgin resin, for saving of 98.917 metric tons of CO2 eq.

  • At least 70% of PCR recycled PET in the core layer – ABA structures
  • Up to 100% of PCR recycled PET food contact from super cleaning recycling processes EFSA approved

OCEANIC waste and bound PLASTIC packaging

We re-use plastic once extracted from the oceans and from nearby areas where plastic potentially floats into the oceans

  • The packaging is made from 80% recycled content and a minimum of 30% of the weight of the product is made up of ocean plastic.
  • We supply a document verifying the origins of the material: collected from oceans, beaches, rivers, lakes, and the immediate banks of those waterways
  • This material is also suitable for food grade applications .

Black monoAPET – NIR detectable

  • Facilitating recycling because no Carbon Black
  • new black dye detectable by NIR instrumentation making the black packaging recyclable
  • Offers benefits as it can be easily sorted and recycled where the right infrastructure is in place
  • No presence of Carbon Black
  • High efficiency in sorting
  • Enabling recycling

FLOWPACK mixPO recyclable packaging

  • Designing polyolefin-based flexible packaging
  • recyclability in compliance with CEFLEX Gudeline for flexible packaging

WATER BASE technology

  • Printing quality is as good as solvent base process
  • Inks adhesion on different substrates as good as solvent
  • Sandwich and outside printing is possible
  • Ink density superior to solvent base (up to 20%)
  • Different coatings are now available (matt, tactile..)
  • Higher eco-efficiency than solvent based inks and adhesives
  • Very high Green-Tack. 6 hrs from lamination to slitting
  • Transparency of the laminate as good or better than solventless
  • No risk of migration of unwanted substances in food staff.
